Arindam Chakraborty has started working at the age of 16 in a small company that used to manufacture lamp posts that we get to see in the streets. This exposure at a very early age made him realise the significance of practical exposure and experience. Post that he joined CESC Ltd. (i.e, Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited) where he has worked in the Supply Chain section. Later he pursued his Management Studies and joined Bank of Baroda in Mumbai where he got the opportunity to work with the CMD (i.e, Chairman and Managing Director ) of Bank of Baroda for a project called ‘Project Parivartan’. This was Business Transformation Project of the Bank aimed at building the business of the Bank from 1.8 Lakh Crores to 3 Lakh Crores. He was one of three member core team entrusted with the responsibility. He was fortunate to work very closely with Mr. Anil Khandelwal, the then CMD of Bank of Baroda and Mr. S.S.Mundra who later became CMD of Bank of Baroda and Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India. He later shifted to Treasury of Bank of Bank of Baroda where he got trained to undertake live trading deals going into hundreds of crores across different markets. He is a Bourse Course Certified Dealer. Post that he shifted to DCB Bank where he worked closely with the top management in multiple strategic and product initiatives. Subsequently he moved to Dun & Bradstreet where he worked as the Consulting Head pan-India (both on the Banking and the Corporate Side). In this context along with his team he has consulted over 1500 plus companies in India and abroad including some very popular brands like Titan, Tata Motors, Hindustan Lever Limited, Dr. Reddy’s etc. which spanned across more than 1500+ industries and sub-industries taken together. He was instrumental in setting up a Rating Agency at Bangladesh called DBRBD i.e, Dun and Bradstreet Rating Agency Bangladesh. He had led a team on Restructuring of Businesses to the tune of INR 3 Lakh Crores and had been active participant in Deal sourcing to the tune of INR 2.7 Lakh Crores. Post that in 2017, he left his job to start with his Business Unplugged initiative to bring the best of Business and Finance skills to all.
He is a Doctorate in Business Administration, MBA(Finance), MS(Finance) and an alumnus of IIM (Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta ).
